Truffle hunting in Istria begins with a homemade brandy as a welcome beverage. Afterwards, you will venture into the woods with the truffle hunter and his sniffer dogs for a true adventure during which you will also learn more about the tradition of hunting for Istria’s greatest treasure. Upon returning, you will be treated to a gourmet experience at the hall offering a mesmerising view of the forest as well as everything from an abundant platter of delicacies to truffles and soft fritters with truffle chocolate. You will also taste homemade specialities in addition to Malvasia and Terrano wines. The rest of the story is revealed in person.

Itinerary

The experience starts at 10:00 and 13:00. The expected duration is 2.5 to 3 h.

  • Prices are expressed per person and tours are held for groups of 2 to 12 people
  • Non-gluten options are available with prior notice
  • Persons with disabilities may participate in the tasting without going into the forest
  • Minors are welcome under parental supervision, but they will be served juice instead of alcohol
  • Pets are welcome with prior notice under the condition that each visitor bring only one pet, which must be on a leash for the duration of the experience
